Reading Steve Bradleys article on this in the Derry news today doesn't leave a good taste in the mouth. Dunno if it's our Steve Bradley but once again he is doing great work at highlighting Derrys plight of being handed second best deals when it comes to infrastructure.

That sight has a lot of potential especially when you consider the views coming into our city on the train. So to step off into that shite hole over their at the minutes is a let down.

So when I heard they where upgrading the old station am sure like most their was a wee bit of excitment and Buzz. But, as usual and according to steves article it will be second rate job as usual and just enough for translink.

We've been here before and will be sitting in our second rate stadium very soon. More people like Steve and the ones elected to represent us need to start standing up for our city.

Last elected person to stand up for the City was John Hume, everyone else has been bending over backwards to please those in Belfast and not fighting for the place they come from

John Hume did a power of work for this city but it should also be noted that Martin McGuinness delivered the best school estate in the North for Derry. Our secondary schools are some places now compared to what some of us went through!

He certainly is. His progressive ideas however will be frowned upon by our overly bureaucratic planning process people!

No matter what we get, we'll always pay for it. I don't mind as long as our city benefits

Steve Bradley who was one step ahead of our Club and local media in finding out what was really going on with stadium through Freedom of Information request.

Not everyone agrees with Steve at times on this forum, but he only wants what is best for our Club and City and talks a lot of sense (most of time) :)

Jesus, the taxpayer has been screwed on some of these deals.

The Derry Diocese PPP Project involved separate £22.5m buildings for both St Cecilia's and St Mary's. The final unitary payment will be made in 2035 by which stage, £184.6m will have been paid back.

£22.5m costs you £184.6m !! :o :o :o
Someone's making a killing.
Who'd they get the money off, a payday loan crowd?

Thanks to DerryBhoy for posting about this, and to everyone else for the comments (I'm blushing  )

We've now got a petition up and running for this, as Adam Quigley has posted above.

It'd be excellent if people could sign it : https://www.change.org/p/reject-transli ... ves-better

Thanks for all the support.
